So, the week in review?

Well, I saw my best mate of 24 years get married on Saturday and all passed swimmingly. Not much more to report on there, they were off on Honeymoon in Turkey this week so hopefully that went well.

I only have next week to do before a well, very fucking well earned break on the west coast in France. Here's praying the weather is slightly better than the current rainy season Ireland is currently enduring.

Hell, it wouldn't take much.

Work trundles on uncertainly, property market continues to slide, booze continues to be hooched. Probably out for drinks with all the gang tomorrow night, try and recover on Sunday morning to make the pilgrimage to Irish deathbed granny (now lying in state for 2 years) and then Transformers in the Savoy followed by Thinguma*Jigsaw in the Lower Deck, I think.

Then a taxi home in the wee hours of Sunday night to start this charade of a life all over again...

In other news, my biography of Mao is pretty damn good. Had better not rush it though as I need a decent amount of reading material for France.

By the way, I'm not being irreverent about Irish deathbed granny, well maybe slightly. But 2 years of being in a bed slowly wasting away without the ability to communicate beyond an unidentifiable gurgle and without the ability to raise her head let alone her arms has rendered well, something less than a person unfortunately. I hope to fuck's sake, she's not in there. Because that life ain't worth living anymore.
